4 Foundation piles empty at the beginning.
7 Tableau piles. The first pile containing 1 card face up. The second pile, 1 card face down and 5 cards face up. The third pile, 2 cards face down and 5 cards face up and so on until the seventh pile, with 6 cards face down and 5 cards face up.
Rules
OBJECTIVE
To move all the cards to the foundations.
FOUNDATIONS
Build up in suit from Ace to King. Cards are moved individually. Cards can not be moved from foundations.
TABLEAU PILES
Build down alternating colors. You can move the cards face up, along with all the cards above it. When a face down tableau card is exposed, it will be turned face up automatically and will be available for play. If a tableau pile becomes empty during play, only a King or a group of cards headed by a King may be moved into the empty stack.
Tips and Tricks
Uncover hidden cards as soon as possible. It is the most important rule to win. The more uncovered cards you have, the more options you have to maneuver to uncover the other cards.
To uncover the cards, you have to work backwards. For example, if you want to uncover a card covered by a red 5, look for a free 6 black where you can place the 5 red. If there are none, look for the way to move the card that is covering it and so on. It is quite common to chain several movements to uncover a single card.
If you need to move a King to uncover a card, try to empty a tableau pile, since a King can only move to an empty tableau pile or to a foundation.
Do not be in a hurry to move cards to the foundations. Sometimes, these cards can be used to move other cards that are still in the tableau piles. As a general rule, you should only move to the foundations, cards with the lowest number of all tableau piles, or cards with a number more than the lowest. If for example, the lowest card remaining in the tableau piles is a 6, you should only move the 6's or 7's to the foundations.
